Klaviyo began billing on all active profiles, not just emailed ones
From Feb 18, 2025 Klaviyo enforced profile compliance: accounts with more active profiles than their tier allows were moved up a tier automatically, closing the loophole of paying only for contacts emailed. Tier list prices themselves did not change.
What changed

- Before: Legacy accounts could pay for a tier sized to the contacts they emailed
- After: Plan tier set by total active profiles in the account, auto-upgraded when exceeded
- Existing customers: Legacy accounts moved to profile-compliant plans; a discount capped the increase at 25% for now
