Atlas added $0.01/GB charges for cross-zone PrivateLink traffic
From May 15, 2025 Atlas bills $0.01/GB in and out at each end of cross-zone traffic between the Network Load Balancer behind AWS PrivateLink and its target, a leg that AWS had not billed. MongoDB estimated an average 1.0% rise in monthly Atlas bills, based on February 2025 usage.

- After: $0.01/GB ingress and egress at each end, billed on the Atlas AWS Data Transfer (Same Region) line
- Existing customers: Billed from May 15, 2025 for existing customers; MongoDB absorbed the extra cost until then
