beehiiv raised prices by up to 52%

Scale became Lite and Max became Pro, both at higher prices: Lite is 18–43% more depending on list size, Pro up to 52% more. Existing customers move over at their first renewal on or after November 1.

What changed

  • Price increase, 28%, Oct 1, 2026
  • New prices apply from Nov 1, 2026
  • At 10k subs: $109 → $139 a month ($360 more a year)
  • Existing customers: From first renewal after Nov 1. Monthly plans get 30+ days' notice; annual plans keep the old price until the term ends.
  • New customers pay the new prices from Oct 1, 2026. Monthly customers move at their first renewal on or after Nov 1; annual customers keep their price until the term ends.
  • At 10k subscribers Lite is $139 a month, up from $109. At 100k it's $469, up from $329.
  • If you're on annual billing there's no rush: plan the move before your renewal date.
  • Kit migrates you for free on any paid plan; Ghost and Buttondown will run the import for you too.
  • Plans were renamed: Launch → Free, Scale → Lite, Max → Pro. The table compares Scale with Lite.
  • Pro (was Max): $219 → $239 at 10k (+9%), $459 → $699 at 100k (+52%).
  • Lite also gets tighter: 2 seats instead of 3, 1 paid tier, 10 live automations, 3 webhooks.
  • The Free plan keeps its 2,500-subscriber cap but drops from 3 publications to 1.
  • beehiiv's stated reason: to fund more work on publishing, automations, growth and monetization tools, and sending infrastructure. It still takes 0% of paid-subscription revenue.
  • beehiiv's CEO called this the second plans and pricing update in about five years; Marc Lou counts it as the third increase in two years.
