Auth0 tripled its Essentials per-user rate from $0.023 to $0.07 per MAU

New pricing effective Nov 1, 2023 moved B2C Essentials from $23/mo per 1,000 MAU to $35/mo per 500 MAU, and B2B Essentials from $130 to $150 for 500 MAU; the free plan rose from 7,000 to 7,500 MAU.

What changed

  • Price increase, 204%, Nov 1, 2023
  • At 10,000 monthly active users: $230 → $700 a month ($5,640 more a year)
  • Before: B2C Essentials $23/mo for 1,000 MAU; B2B Essentials $130/mo for 500 MAU
  • After: B2C Essentials $35/mo for 500 MAU ($700 at 10,000); B2B Essentials $150/mo for 500 MAU
  • Existing customers: Existing plans were not changed; new prices applied to new sign-ups and to customers who changed their subscription, with at least 90 days' notice before any migration.
